Betagro’s PIC was established to improve pet products including pet foods, pet care products and pet snacks in order to respond to the requirements of customers in Thailand and overseas. Betagro continues to conduct studies combining nutrition with ingredients that will improve health and capacity of pets particularly dogs and cats. Examples of successful cases are:
CAT n joy Products
PIC studied and developed the attractiveness of cats’ food in order to reduce the hardness and eating time. In May 2021, the Center succeeded in developing new cats’ food products under the brand of “CAT n joy”. These products reduce the hardness of cats’ food by 17% and eating time by 12% when compared with Betagro’s original cats’ food products.
Therapeutic Pet Food Products
Therapeutic pet food products are food with a specific formulas that meets the needs of pets such as symptom management and disease development defer. These therapeutic food products require higher quality control and more academic support from veterinarians than normal pet foods. With these reasons, PIC developed many types of therapeutic pet food products in 2021 including food for dogs with kidney problems, food for overweight dogs and cats, as well as food for old age dogs and cats.
