Betagro believes that the infrastructure for information technology and information systems are necessary for Betagro’s efficient administration and successful business development. Currently, the Company uses SAP, a software that creates a centralized system so that each department can have access and share information. It also gives a structural frame for accounting, production planning, supply chain management, distribution and sale, plant maintenance and cost management. In addition, Betagro uses SAP modules in all of its business groups in order to enhance integrated operation, operating efficiency improvement and cost reduction.

Successful use of SAP System in Betagro are displayed below:

  • SAP system enables Betagro’s various business units to share real time information among teams, departments and stakeholders in and outside the Company. This has reduced the inconsistency of information as everyone involved use the same source of information. It also helps reduce management and operating expenses.
  • Betagro uses SAP System and various SAP Modules equipped with real time and consistent operation. This has led to Betagro’s efficient supply chain management of information on production, sales and other related information. Betagro is able to manage sales forecasts, plan its production and set the most appropriate profit margin according to each type of product and customer.
  • SAP System also helps Betagro in cost visibility as information is shared among departments. It also allows Betagro to set more competitive prices for various sales channels and adjust product groups in line with the markets’ needs for Betagro products.
  • SAP System increases customers’ satisfaction and loyalty by using Customer Relationship Management System for customers’ loyalty creation plan, marketing plan and customers’ opinion plan.
  • SAP System is the backbone of Betagro e-Traceability ทenabling the Company to trace back its products in the entire supply chain.

In addition to this SAP System, Betagro uses other systems in its operation to improve supply chain management. These systems include:

  • E-Sourcing System which gives information on vendors and specifies opportunities for cost saving
  • Internal Information Analysis System for marketing to increase sale. This system helps identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling to existing customers, as well as provides information on Customer Churn Analysis to help Betagro understand the reasons why some customers do not return.
  • Real-Time Information Access and Analysis System which enables Betagro to better manage customers’ experience and offer better products with better prices to target customer groups
  • Betagro Livestock Management System is a farm management platform that can gather and analyze daily information. It enhances the development of farm management into a digital system by connecting IoT System with farm equipment for better business decisions and management based on information. This information covers planning, livestock efficiency, purchasing, animal feed consumption, livestock medicine, abandonment and loss of livestock.

With Betagro’s information technology policy and information technology security standard, Betagro is able to manage risks in its information system. It has complied with ISO 27001 (Information Security Management System) and other security standards including firewall and passwords. The purposes are to increase information security and management and to ensure the continuity of secure information system in order to reduce risks from possible software or hardware defects.

Betagro is also equipped with an emergency plan to back up information for its operating systems and related processes and to retrieve information from the hard disks in case of defects or loss of back-up information. In addition, the Company has an emergency plan to prevent viruses from attacking its information systems and networks.
